Justin Bauereiss

Owner | Managing Broker

As a Venice, Florida native, Justin is no stranger to the likes of this beautiful small town.  Some of Justin’s favorite childhood memories include riding three-wheelers off Edmonson, when it was an old dirt road; hog-hunting in the acreage that is now the Atlanta Braves Stadium; and causing mischief with his friends among the alphabet streets of South Venice.

Though Justin has spent time around the country, and the world, as a veteran of the United States Army Special Forces, no place compares to the comfort of home. The commitment, dedication, and high standards of excellence required of him to faithfully serve his country is exactly what Justin brings to his clients and his business as the Broker/Owner of Southern Trust Real Estate.

Justin is married with three beautiful little girls and a three-pound chihuahua (also female.) When he is not answering phone calls, responding to emails or showing homes, you can find him participating in living room dance parties, practicing his aim on the range, or playing in the pool. Justin loves old 80’s movies, giant bowls of ice cream, and massive amounts of peanut butter.

Chrissy Bauereiss

Commercial Sales Specialist

A theatre and dance enthusiast, Chrissy never saw herself in Real Estate. She grew up with dreams of bright lights and big stages. After performing as a Denver Broncos cheerleaders and a dancer/actor at Universal Studios, she was ready to move forward and get a “real job.” Her passion for health and fitness led her to a decade of helping others pursue the best version of themselves as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Living in this ever-expanding, booming beach town eventually led Chrissy into an incredible opportunity with Commercial Real Estate and she hasn’t looked back. She brings with her an unparalleled level of excitement and enthusiasm, unexpected in this area of work. Her natural encouraging antics provide a comfort for clients as they step into what could be a daunting experience, transforming it into a successful, smooth endeavor.

Chrissy has happily settled into the quiet, safeness of Venice. She is married to her high-school sweetheart and soulmate, Justin, and has three spirited little girls. When she’s not at work, Chrissy enjoys a good living-room dance party, jogging on a sunny day, and teaching a butt-kicking barre class. She loves giant “kitchen-sink” salads and monster chocolate chip cookies.

Kent Jacoby

Director of Commercial Land and Development

Born In Tecumseh, Michigan, Kent came to Venice 25 years ago when it was a small, sleepy winter vacation spot and absolutely fell in love. (Who wouldn’t, right?!) The ease of access to the interstate and the beauty of Venice Island reeled him in for good. The potential in Commercial Real Estate here certainly sweetened the pot!

Kent really enjoys working with sellers of large tracts, as he has a knack for evaluating and properly valuing their land, ensuring the most successful transactions. With a keen eye for hidden gems, Kent also loves to search out potential land opportunities for builders and developers. Kent’s knack for residential land development has brought him decades of joy that he continues to pursue.

Kent and his wife, Sherry, have four grown children and are avid Boxer lovers, owning five over their lifetime. Kent loves spending time at his cozy Northern Michigan cottage in Sugar Springs Golf Resort. When he isn’t watching sports at home, you may see him grabbing a great plate of steak and lobster at his favorite local hot spot, Pops. Give him a bowl of ice cream and chocolate cake with a rerun of Con Air, and you have yourself a happy man!

About Our Team

As true professionals, we’ve found it exhausting dealing with agents who are too uninterested or uncommitted to make Real Estate their full-time gig. It is entirely too easy to do this job poorly. Due to the human condition of avoiding discomfort, most people do just that -- take the easy way.

Not here.

Research shows it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in a particular field. With faithful commitment and prioritization, as well as gleaning wisdom and guidance from other industry experts, we have surpassed that benchmark.

Now we continue to progress in our knowledge, as we are only in further pursuit of bettering the quality of representation for buyers and sellers.
